In a recent press release the Brooklyn Fashion+Design Accelerator’s Awl & Sundry announced they will be tailoring a shoe collection For Seattle Seahawks’ Kam Chancellor.

Awl & Sundry is a New York City based custom shoe brand that allows men to design shoes that are hand-tailored to their feet. Customers can choose from different styles, shapes, design details, colors, textures and even a personalized monogram on their shoe. Each shoe is handcrafted using the finest full grain leather sourced from European tanneries and constructed using the age-old process of hand welt construction used by well known bespoke shoemakers around the globe.

And the shoes? Worn by well-heeled men globally.

With this in mind, it’s not a far stretch to consider that Kam Chancellor, strong safety for the Seattle Seahawks and a style maven off the field would want to collaborate. Awl & Sundry founder Nikunj Marvania says that Chancellor has consistently proven to be a man of vision, style, passion, and social consciousness “in his meteoric career as a strong safety of the Seattle Seahawks, in his tireless support of his community, and as an icon of fitness and uncompromising fashion.”

Kam along with his Creative Director, Dex Rob has partnered with Awl & Sundry,  to design a collection that embodies one of his core principles: to resolutely blaze your own path while never forgetting where you’re from. To take this collaboration a step further, Awl & Sundry would like to help Kam further this vision through co-hosting a fundraising event in Seattle June 13th. Though an evening of music, drinks, and hors d’oevres, attendees will help support a charity of Kam’s choice— as well as design their very own pair of custom shoes with Awl & Sundry’s professional stylists in a pop-up studio. With high-profile guests from Amazon, Nordstrom, and the Seattle Seahawks team, this will be an event you won’t want to miss!
