I’m always scouring the internet for trends and tips for you and nearly fell off my seat laughing when I saw Google turn up the news that eco-designer Deborah Lindquist is going goth. Isn’t that comparable to hippies liking black lacquer furniture or Merlot aficionados putting ice in their wine?
I shuddered but when I clicked on a few links I loved what I saw. The goth inspiration is evident, but with very feminine contrasts. This is a fall collection with a little something for everyone.
Deborah Lindquist is the master of recycling and reusing vintage fabrics, implementing them into couture creations with a style celebrities and the everywoman know her for, be it skulls and crossbones or flirty, flowing cottons.
Her Fall/Winter 2009 line dubbed “Goth Girl Goes to the Country” recently debuted at Point de Vue Salon in West Hollywood, with Lindquist showing the eco-world that there is color and fun and sexy corsetry to be had.
After all, isn’t that what fashion is all about? Fun?
